Voters in the County of Peoria use the The eSlate™ voting system provided by Hart InterCivic to cast their ballots. The eSlate™ is direct recording equipment (DRE). The Voting system used by the Peoria County Election Commission was originally purchased in 2006 and is at the end of its useful life span. The Election Commission intends to replace the system before the 2022 election cycle. The estimated costs for the replacement are $1.0 to 1.5 million.
